Trout Hatchery Technician – Full Time

Harrietta Hills Trout Farm is a family farm operation specializing in the production of Rainbow Trout with operations including fish stocking and pond management.

This position requires a wide range of indoor and outdoor trout farm work.

Job includes, but is not limited to:

  • feeding fish,
  • cleaning water intakes,
  • recording data,
  • maintenance work,
  • manually loading/unloading trucks,
  • working in water with boots/waders,
  • counting and grading fish,
  • operating power equipment,
  • pond maintenance and construction,
  • farm property maintenance,
  • hatchery work,
  • assisting customers,
  • pond equipment installation,
  • and other duties as assigned. 

Job requires:

  • the ability to lift 65 lbs. repeatedly,
  • the ability to lift and move equipment,
  • following verbal and written directives,
  • move 50 lb. feed bags.

Extensive walking and standing are involved daily.

Daily work hours are variable with some overtime, nights, and weekends required.

Solid work history with demonstrated responsibility and valid driver’s license required.
