3/4 HP Ice Eater is designed to prevent ice from forming and to melt existing ice around boats, marinas, docks and piers. Ice Eaters also work great for keeping water open for duck and waterfowl hunting!

The design of the Ice Eater’s venturi shroud (housing) with outwardly flared ends and custom designed propellers provides more upward thrust to draw warmer water from greater depths than other conventional de-icers. Together they break the surface with a continuous current of warmer subsurface water.

This 3/4 HP Ice Eater moves 1,250 GPM of Water and protects an area about 60′ in Diameter when directed vertically. When directed horizontally using the optional dock mount, the vectored influence zone is approximately 80′, depending on conditions..

Unlike some other de-icing units, the Ice Eater requires no additional hardware in order to obtain the desired de-icing pattern. Ice Eater is shipped complete with mooring lines. It is ready to be installed right out of the box. Dock Mount hardware is available. Available in 115 Volt with 5 Power Cord lengths and 230 Volt with 10 Power Cord Lengths (specify when ordering).

All units are equipped with:

• Quick Disconnect Power Cords (specify length when ordering)
• Two 25′ mooring lines (hollow braided polypropylene lines with shackles)
• Bronze endbell on motor for longer life, no warping or cracking.
